Purpose-designed furniture for a growing community
The Cranbourne Community Hospital project marks an important step in delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare to Melbourne’s growing south-east. We were proud to collaborate with Monash Health, the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA), and head contractor Lendlease on this landmark facility.
Working closely with the interior design team at HDR Inc, we developed and delivered a comprehensive workstation solution anchored by 248 Ovation electric height-adjustable desks. Installed across clinical, administrative, and consulting areas, the workstations were selected to support ergonomic flexibility, efficient cable management, and the day-to-day demands of a contemporary healthcare environment.
Beyond performance, the furniture strategy developed with Monash Health focused on comfort, wellbeing and the role of design in healing spaces. Autex acoustic screens featuring artwork by indigenous artist Willie Weston introduce a strong visual identity while contributing to quieter, more restorative workplaces. Custom-made drum tables were supplied for waiting areas, and purpose-designed children’s furniture catered to younger visitors.
Through close coordination with Lendlease and the broader project team, we managed a complex, staged delivery program, ensuring the facility transitioned smoothly from construction to operation. The result is a welcoming, functional environment ready to support Monash Health staff and the Cranbourne community from day one.
